Our B and B

Isla Margarita Bed and Breakfast is a small family-owned B & B located in a private tropical two story villa 3 blocks from magnificent Playa El Agua (Access RatesB & B Photo Gallery and Photos-Playa El Agua), a 4 km. (2½ mi.) long beach of white sands, palm and coconut trees. The beach is about a 10 minute walk from our location. Playa El Agua is the most popular beach among tourists visiting Isla Margarita.

The architecture of Isla Margarita Bed and Breakfast follows the local folk-building tradition of mangle logs, hand-applied rough stucco and polished cement. It is surrounded by beautiful, lush bouganvillea and other exotic plant varieties.

We offer our services of three rooms to family-oriented, mature, active singles or couples, and also to families with children over 16 who are seeking peace and quiet in a stress free environment. (For more information please see our Policies section.)

We can rent by the room or, if your prefer you can rent our three rooms to accommodate your group. This option will set aside our B & B for the exclusive enjoyment and privacy of your family and/or friends.

Breakfast

Our continental breakfast (7:30-9:30 am) is included in the room rate and consists of coffee or tea, milk, toast or local fresh bread with butter, fruit preserves, fresh fruits, cereal, local fresh cheese and cold cuts.

By request, we will gladly prepare ham or bacon and eggs, and for those willing to try local fares, the Isla Margarita breakfast consisting of arepas (a maize tortilla bun) or corn empanadas (fried corn pastries filled with fish, chicken, cheese or meat), fresh juice, fried cheese and black beans, coffee or tea.

Although we urge you to try the local cuisine, we will be happy to pack a lunch bag consisting of sandwiches, chips and fruit, so you may take with you for a day at the beach. However, Playa El Agua and Playa Parguito offer many wonderful eating options.
Avenida 31 de Julio

Isla Margarita Bed and Breakfast
is located only two blocks from Avenida 31 de Julio, a rather busy thoroughfare.

A block beyond this highway you will reach Playa El Agua. On the beach, there are fine restaurants, as well as souvenir and beachwear shops to suit your pocketbook. You will be able to access drugstores, banks, ATMs, cyber cafés and currency exchange locations.

A special treat for the ladies is sampling the local jewelry directly from the artisans themselves. You can also rent chairs, umbrellas and equipment for sea sports, and even get a wonderful massage right by the sea.

Nearby, along Avenida 31 de Julio, you can find a supermarket, many local restaurants, bakery shops, banks and gas stations. There are also buses and cars that charge you by the seat, or you can hire a taxi to Porlamar and other beaches.
